The Samuan Tiga tempe is such a unique temple in Bali located in Gianyar regency around 25 kilometers from the city of Denpasar. Just find the Elephant cave in Bedulu Gianyar then go to the east around 400 meters you will find a juction, just straight a head then you will see the temple around 150 meters from this junction.

The Samuan Tiga temple was built around 10th century in the reign of King Chandrasangka Warmadewa. It was the Warmadewa Dynasty royal temple located in the meeting point of two rivers - river Pande and river Tegending. The name os Samuan literary means meeting while tiiga means three. Said this was the meeting venue of the Gods, Deities and Saints.

The Samuan Tiga temple is not like other Balinese temple where it consists of three courtyards. The temple has seven courtyard separated by walls and split gates and connected by stairs to the inner courtyard where the meeting hall is located.

The innermost courtyard is sacred and has exceptionally numerous shrines. It has around 8 satellite temples and there are the Pura Bukit, Pura Pasar Agung, Pura Melanting, Pura Dalem Puri, Pura Geduh, Pura Celanggu, Pura Batan Jeruk and Pura Santrian.
